Some nodes are unresponsive when moving mouse on.

I'm a new user. After loading any network, I move the mouse to some node and the node with it's neighbors are highlighted from the remaining nodes. However, not all nodes show the same effect. Some node are not responsive at all. I didn't find the pattern yet.
I'm experiencing the same inconsistent issue -- more often than not I can't select or move nodes (which is a problem), but sometimes I get the behavior described above -- inconsistent node highlighting, and some nodes can be moved, but not all.
Alt-tabbing between windows seems to sometimes increase the chances of selecting nodes, but maybe I'm imagining it -- it's extremely hard to get the nodes to drag in any consistent way, if at all.
