Talkback should click when entering passwords

Closed this issue · 1 comments

Currently, talkback says. when passwords are being entered unless headphones
are plugged in. Although this is a good security consideration, it further
creates a pain point for new users and those who just want to set up there
device. Talkback should speak the characters you are running your finger over
and make a click or some other sound when the finger is lifted. Also it can
make this sound when backspacing or going character by character over the
password field. This will ease the transition for new users who might get
confused by the announcement of dots when they're getting there first device.

Recent Android Keyboard releases include functionality that will speak an
instructional announcement when attempting to enter a password in restricted
mode indicating that a headset is required.
