sendTest email throws an exception

With October CMS v2

from a new post, testing the sending of the email throws this:

"Call to undefined method Backend\Models\User::categories()" on line 50 of /var/www/chrisvidalcoaching.com/public_html/vendor/laravel/framework/src/Illuminate/Support/Traits/ForwardsCalls.php

from a new post, testing the sending of the newsletter throws this:

"Call to a member function intersect() on array" on line 182 of /var/www/chrisvidalcoaching.com/public_html/plugins/indikator/news/classes/NewsSender.php
