Cannot generate the pem certificate

I retrieved the EAP config, now I want to set it up with bash -x eap-config.sh eap.conf
. However, this fails with this line:
+ openssl pkcs12 -passin pass:pkcs12 -passout pass:pkcs12 -in /home/user/.config/geteduroam/tmp-eduroam.p12 -out /home/user/.config/geteduroam/cert-eduroam.pem -clcerts -nokeys

Using Fedora 36. Maybe the crypto defaults of Fedora don't allow this because it's considered not secure enough? Using the default crypto policy. Just a guess though...
