We might need to switch the approach to something more reliable. One idea we have is to draw the VH onto a Bitmap using a custom Canvas which doesn't draw text/images. This should resolve the out-of-sync VH/SS issue, but also handle z-index automatically.

This issue has gone three weeks without activity. In another week, I will close it.

But! If you comment or otherwise update it, I will reset the clock, and if you remove the label Waiting for: Community, I will leave it alone ... forever!
