Reminders don't work

I've been looking for a self-hosted Todo app and Vikunja was the most recommended.
However since it was setup a month ago it's never worked to save reminders.
The Android app will let you go through the process but once saved it's not there on reopen.
The web for mobile doesn't even let you open tasks just change the due date.
You have to use the desktop web version which lets you set the reminder but there is never a notification.

I have the latest beta for Android notification fix.
On Pixel 7 Pro Android 14.

I have the same problem with the latest beta on the Xiaomi 13 with Android 14.
However, I noticed another strange behavior. If you edit reminders in the application, they are not saved. If you edit reminders in the web version, they are not displayed in the application or they are overwritten (deleted), and as a result they do not exist.

Unfortunately, without normal reminders/notifications, Vikunja does not look like a full-fledged replacement for a Todoist, TickTick and others.

Can you reproduce that with the latest app version and https://try.vikunja.io?

I confirm! The error is present.

Yes, I did it.

I made the next steps:

  1. Log in to Demo Vikunja (web).
  2. Created new task - https://try.vikunja.io/tasks/20
  3. Set three reminders
    demo - new task
  4. Log in to Demo Vikunja through Vikunja APP.

  5. Then I checked reminders in this task in Demo Vikunja (web).
demo - new task without reminders

And I saw that all reminders overwritten (deleted).

@Benimautner maybe this is related to the change in relative reminders?

Probably, yes. Will be fixed in next release
