Memory Utilization is running high

I keep getting this annoying email notification. Database for such a simple purpose should not consume that much amount of memory. Please considering fix this, say at least drop the memory usage of MySQL instance down to 100M (currently 300M+). Thanks.

OK. I resolved the issue via:
performance_schema = 0
in my.conf
