x/website: Change "Try Go" to "Let's get Going"

Closed this issue · 4 comments

Such a wasted potential not to have "Let's get Going" instead of "Try Go" in the website.

Ideally 'Go' goes in bold.

Especially since the try proposal was rejected!

In seriousness, it's a catchy suggestion, but I suspect a UX designer might say that it's more important to be clear and to the point. Also, we don't really use such a casual tone elsewhere, so if we were to do something like this it would probably be part of a holistic redesign of branding and tone.

Going to close this for issue hygiene, as we're unlikely to consider such a narrow change in tone.

Indeed. The Go project has generally avoided making puns of this sort in our documentation. (The proper place for such whimsy is in the names of mailing lists.)
