We do have an alternative to use in the meantime - https://goldmansachs.github.io/obevo/gradle-api.html

Though I would much prefer the native plugin, as mentioned here.

Haven't had this requested in a while, but it seems like relatively quick once I figure out the Gradle plugin API (which I haven't dealt with before). I can potentially consider this within the next 3 months if it would be a big benefit for you.
