To help people use the course for self-study, we need something which will fill in all the stuff we normally talk about in class. The course is normally driven by people's questions and these are missing from the slides.
Publishing videos would be useful to help fill this gap.
Any update? Thanks.
Hi @wulianglongrd,
Not yet, I'm afraid. I will have to sit down at some point and invest the time in this!
Hi @mgeisler,
Given your reply above, do you think we would have an heads-up later this quarter on this?
Hi @50-Course, I think the most likely result will be that someone else ends up releasing videos of the course material.
I was asked the same thing on Reddit and tried to explain a bit why we haven't made any videos yet.
Ha, got it! Thank you. Would be keeping tabs for the update.
Any update @mgeisler
eagerly waiting for the videos!
Sorry folks, I don't think I'll have time for this anytime soon. Note that anybody could take the material we've published and start a video series about it (but it'a a lot of time one needs to invest in this).
will look into it
can there be a you tube channel create so a person can pick up a topic cover it and upload like open source in you tube
Hi @athulspal and @martcpp, thanks so much for looking at this!
I don't have the expertise to own this: I suggest one of you create a channel yourself so that you can full control over this. Teaching Rust Fundamentals should take around 20 hours in total, so it will be a lot of work. I want you to have full ownership of this and get full ownership as well ๐
@athulspal can we team up for this
Any update on this ? If not, is there any online courses or any other materials related with Rust on Android ? I'm looking to learn how to code Rust on android NDK before my contract is ended, so up-skilling is my urgent situation. Any reply would be appreciated!

Hi @rhonyabdullah, I'm afraid this course doesn't actually cover using the NDK. Instead, it covers using Rust in the Android Platform. That is, it covers how Googlers and vendors can now add code to AOSP written in Rust.
There hasn't been any updates on producing public videos, sorry. Cc @randomPoison who I discussed making videos with internally at some point.
