language:kotlin
For ease of use, I used the following code in the base class of the activity to initialize the viewmodel
Image

   mViewModel = ViewModelProvider(
        this,
        ViewModelProvider.AndroidViewModelFactory.getInstance(application)
    ).get(persistentClass)

viewmodel code:
Image
@HiltViewModel
class ListViewModel @Inject constructor( val testDao: TestModelDao) : BaseViewModel() {}

error:

This code works fine when the constructor has no arguments
However, when a constructor with arguments is used, an error message is displayed indicating that the viewmodels failed to build
Using by viewmodels is no problem

Hi, @zzw8421 , Hilt needs to use its own HiltViewModelFactory to inject a HiltViewModel. You can try removing ViewModelProvider.AndroidViewModelFactory.getInstance(application) argument from your ViewModelProvider() call.
