Camera switches direction when switching to single-stream mode and flip camera button fails on first attempt

Repro steps:
- Cold start the app
- Press the "Single Stream" button to switch to single-stream mode
- Observed: the camera switches from back to front
- Expected: the camera remains on the back camera
- Press the flip camera button
- Observed: the camera does not switch
- Expected: the camera switches to back camera
- Press the flip camera button
- Camera now switches as normal
