Document how to use installed components in build

This should be possible now post upstream CMake changes. Verify & update documentation to allow this and avoiding needing a custom build.

With https://reviews.llvm.org/rGc265170110b2e3b82ab8fca6658bfbbce79381c5 this could be done while removing the custom cmake rule here.
