It's been a while since PR #99 was submitted, and I haven't seen any updates regarding its integration. This PR includes important changes that are needed for ongoing work. Can you please provide a clear timeline for when it will be merged?

I also need this change, because TensorFlow 2.9.3 has multiple vulnerabilities.
