Use CI markdown formatter linter

Opening markdown files incidentally formatted them with my editor's formatter. This was unintended, but seems like a plus. If a different formatting approach is prefered, I can set it to that markdown flavor instead.

This reminds me, we should have a markdown linter, and a 404 checker for all external links.
