Is Google Daydream dead?

Last months Google does not care about fatal issues reported here and there was no single mention about VR on IO. Also we would like to know if this project is discontinued or not?

I also noticed in I/O that the "Daydream team" in Google are actually working with ARCore at the moment. It would be great if Google would announce how they are going to keep supporting Daydream as it is clearly a discontinued product.

I got an idea how to revive daydream: Make the api's open source !
