Button without shortcut key

Can you add a button that doesn't have a shortcut key? using dashboard.button, not writing a new button func

I try to avoid feature creep as much as possible, so I don't really want to add this. I would personally just work around this by making the shortcut key a unicode character or something (I just tested this and ♥ works, for example)
