Run:

$ php cachetool.phar self-update
Downloading gordalina/cachetool (gordalina/cachetool) 9.0.0.0
Download finished
Successfully updated cachetool.phar

All time we can see successfully updated, but nothing changed. It's confused.
If no updated action is taken, then nothing to do message would be better.

You can run with the quiet flag on

$ php cachetool.phar self-update --quiet
