Doesn't open, fully downloaded, every other version is incompatible

Downloaded GDLauncer .deb for debian linux, it downloads but doesn't open. It is always stuck loading, and no other versions of GD launcher are compatible.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Download 'GDLauncher-linux-setup.deb'
2. Type 'sudo snap install gdlauncher --beta' into Linux
3. Attempt to open GDLauncher
4. It never opens

Expected behavior
GDlauncher should open, it just never does

Possible solutions
tried other versions but nothing worked

The snap image is community maintained (I don't exactly know who is maintaining it atm). I would expect the .deb to work when being executed from the command line tho. Did you try both?
