git-894ca0b.zip is not a valid Grails plugin. No plugin.xml descriptor found!

What is 'git-894ca0b.zip'? It looks like you've downloaded it from GitHub, which would explain the error. That will give you the source code, but it won't give you a properly packaged plugin. You would have to run 'grails package-plugin' first.
