I noticed it when using 1000 events, but never when using order 10. It happens about 30% of the time. The results seem to be ok so far

Renaming files to proper file names
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

same behaviour detected in convert_voltage2adc.py. It end with a
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
