Add node - input lost when clicked outside

Describe the bug
After entering input then clicking outside ignores input (requires selecting a suggestion)
Steps to reproduce the bug
- follow the screenshot
- dont select the dropdown but click outside
- see if your input is lost.
What's the expected result? What's the actual result?
Just typing into the input should work.
