When The Great Suspender updated (or was preparing to update) on 2020-10-27, it unsuspended the active tab in every window.

I keep many open browser windows spread over several virtual desktops, some of which I only visit at home or on weekends, so it makes sense to suspend them completely, including the active tab, especially since some sites keep chugging memory indefinitely otherwise.

Of those automatically unsuspended tabs, one was my crazier Youtube music playlist and another was Youtube podcasts. And Youtube automatically starts playing on page focus after load (which it thought happened in that case), no matter if I left for a meeting and forgot to check if I muted the speakers after disconnecting headphones. My colleges spent several minutes trying to mute some tech guy talking over loud hyperactive music, killing all browser windows they could find (the wrong ones) and thankfully managing to hit mute before killing the power.

I realize it was sort-of my fault for making my laptop hard to operate for others and not checking the mute before leaving, but maybe there is a way to prevent unsuspending active tabs on extension update?

For those who are not aware, there is great concern that this extension may now be malicious in nature.
