mpv refusing to play "potentially unsafe URL from a playlist"

mpv will currently refuse to play a lot of videos, see: mpv-player/mpv@8600490 (via mpv-player/mpv#4541), which has not been backported to the current release branch.

As a workaround, we can add load-unsafe-playlists to the mpv config or use ytdl format settings to prevent DASH video.
