Connection Settings are resetted

After opening the settings and viewing the connection information of a Azure DevOps connection the selected collection and project are sometimes reseted to the first item in their comboboxes.
Additionally this is not visible in the UI. Instead only the busy indicator is shown.

It seems like part of the real issue is that settings are saved directly after setting an option.
When doing the initialization of the values there seems be a mixup and some no-quite-ready values are saved to the file.
