Hi,

all files in the pypi archive have the executable bit set. The regular files except setup.py probably shouldn't have.

Can this be easily rectified on your end for the time being?

The system I build and publish on is wonky; it's not an easy fix on my end. Though, to be explicit, it is my responsibility to fix this, and it will be fixed in the future. It's just not a quick nor easy fix.
