Problems with the original 7" RPI touch screen display

I've installed MagicMirrorOS and it does not work with the original 7" Raspberry PI touch screen display.
Also tried by running the following commands (see https://forums.pimoroni.com/t/official-7-raspberry-pi-touch-screen-faq/959), with no luck.
sudo apt-get install --reinstall libraspberrypi0 libraspberrypi-{bin,dev,doc} raspberrypi-bootloader
sudo reboot
It is working correctly through HDMI, but not with the original screen.
How to solve the issue?
