I had to apt install gettext in order to move passed warning: macro 'AM_GNU_GETTEXT' not found in library and other warnings.

Thanks, I will include it in the README.

But also, you can just do apt install mactelnet-client mactelnet-server

Still a similar problem on Ubuntu 18.04 / Debian too I would guess
