I now realize that installation, to the extent that it needs to be talked about, is already covered in the chapter on package structure and state. Package installation is not one of the key daily workflows that we talk about in the workflow chapter.
So this has become:
- Make sure all the relevant installation methods are mentioned in the "installed packages" section
- Add any necessary cross-references
