Stuck at "initramfs"

Opened this issue · 4 comments

Alright so, i was booting into ubuntu 18.04 and i get a black screen with something like "BusyBox: (initramfs)". It was working fine a few minutes before this happened, i just had to boot into windows to do something and booted back into ubuntu and bam.

My Laptop:
HP Envy TS Sleekbook 4
Intel Core i5-337U CPU at 1.80GHz

Using wubi 18044r333 and my ubuntu ISO is called ubuntu-18.04.4-desktop-amd64. I have Secure Boot disabled, and my BIOS mode is UEFI

Any help is appreciated <3

Quick additon - i tried executing "exit", it resulted in a kernel panic, and "continue" did nothing

i get a black screen with something like "BusyBox: (initramfs)"

Is there no additional message ? e,g. see here or here

Is there any solution for this, I've the same issue and getting a kernel panic after entering 'exit' in initramfs

I indeed found a solution for this problem, all i had to do was boot back into windows and shut down from the start menu, then do the procedure to boot into ubuntu again.
