Anyone willing to contribute the 4mb and 8mb bin dump of their thinkpads? (Last known working version of the lenovo ones)
Will make it easier for those of us with a ch341a but no battery/forgot to back up the original EC/BIOS.
Actually the 4mb dump is readily available via extraction of FL1.
I can contribute a L530 dump, if you want.
However: How to clean it from machine specific data like Windows license keys, Serial No etc.?
Well, I dont think you will have those stuff stored in the two chips, probably just the machine number I suppose? You can upload it here for now I guess
Just realized that my dump has a pretty old BIOS version (G3ET94WW) and that I already patched the EC to support non-genuine battery and 7-row keyboard, so it's not a "clean" dump, even though EC code can be replaced by original one without any issues.
Anyway, you can get dumps for all kinds of Thinkpads pretty easily at https://www.badcaps.net and https://www.bios-mods.com forums.
As they already colletecd quite a few dumps, it may be better to redirect users searching for dumps to these forums instead.
I currently have dumps for L530 (including mine) for: G3ET94WW, G3ET96WW, G3ETA3WW
Got my battery, hence commenced flash of BIOS & EC.
Will update with gcuj32 and patched gcuj32. (Using flashrom in vbox, the 8mb chip took me 16 minutes to read, and since I'm reclipping the chip for each dump so I can compare the md5, it will take me a while.)
