issues with using route helper and other inertia specific functions?

so I am unable to use things like this.$page..

(i solved the route() problem by manually installing ziggy package npm install... ) & i dont get the undefined route problem.
other issues were the use of windoes.document or document.. which i fixed by adding an if statement, no ideal but works..
