T9Search app as a service provider to other apps

Hello There,

I am the author of OpenContacts app on F-droid.
Recently users from china have asked for T9 search for contacts. I have googled to find this github repository. As I am not a native Chinese speaker, I am finding it difficult to understand and test or implement this feature.

So, I was thinking if you can create a simple app that can expose this service for other apps. Many apps can just integrate with this app and implement T9 for Chinese.

Let me know on what you think about the idea.
