change teamviewer onboarding procedure?

At this moment, I ask students to send me their username and passwords for TeamViewer to make a connection. This is a very lengthy procedure and many students forget to set their security settings properly.

• Are there other tools (free/paid) that allow the same functionality but are easier to handle? --> make a list
• Would it be easier to run support meetings via TeamViewer meetings or some other teamviewer functionality?
• Finally, is some of this functionality available in Zoom and does that work well (-> test it)
