q `3.1.1-beta` BETA Version Feedback - Download Links Inside

Hi, I'm releasing a beta version of 3.1.1, which is a very large version, both in features and with a new packaging mechanism. Details and Examples are here

You're more than welcome to download and test it out in the pre-release.

I'd really appreciate any feedback you have on it - Bugs, Usability issues, anything you have in your mind.

Please use this issue to provide all feedback about the beta version. It would be much more convenient than opening 20 separate issues.

My observation is that the size of the linux binary somehow exploded:

  • 2.0.19: 11M
  • 3.1.1: 82M

I do like small binaries ;)

@uli-heller true, size has indeed increased in the new packaging. Since this version is very large in terms of features, I'm planning on fixing that in the next release.
