Gather information regarding storage in Hollis and DRS

We've been talking about storing some files in DRS for a long time. Now is finally the time to start exploring.
We need to find out what we could store in the DRS and get a cost eval.
(PDFs of what type? Casements, alto?)

AC:

  • Reach out to DRS: Stephen Abrams, Tricia Patterson, and Julianna Barrera-Gomez
  • Learn how Hollis loads from DRS
  • Have cost estimate for various storage amounts -- find out what library would pay for themselves.

Additional: Bex to inquire whether there's an economic model for digital preservation.

Update:
emailed Stephen 5/3, have meeting for 5/9 with Catherine and Michael.
He recommended emailing Claire DeMarco and Amy Boucher to discuss Hollis, which I also did 5/3. Claire to set up meeting.

Met with Stephen and team. Notes here. They will price out based on the info we gave them.
We will follow up with Leah Prescott to understand more about library opinions.
Hollis can load from DRS or IA directly.

We'll likely pursue flipping the already extant volume link in Hollis to wherever our volume PDFs live and send our dataverse set over to Hollis.
