NPM is loosing settings after Restart

As described in above forum thread the NPM is loosing all it's settings (default login credentials only work) once HomeAssistant is restarted. Unfortunately this happens a lot to me. But also not every time.
Looks like it does have to do with if MariaDB docker is not booted first. I do have auto-start and watchdog enabled for all Add-Ons - which does not help. How can I control the sequence of add-on startups?
It would be good if you could add some instructions to your documentation as I am not the only one experiencing this.
