Donations and Appreciation.

Can you add a donation page link somewhere so that people can voluntarily donate for this project. I know it's a PITA to keep up with the MyQ changes and I'd e hapy to support the cause. I'm sure that others would be willing also.

I’ll say the same thing here that I’ve said for another one of my plugins:

While I truly appreciate the sentiment, this is a labor of love and passion. Star the plugin in Github and donate to a charity like the Red Cross or others that you may feel passionately about. The best thanks is hearing from people like you, and spreading the word about this plugin. 😄

Thank you.

Came here to say the same.

Came here to also communicate my support for this, as more recent enhancements to the HomeBridge UI now support the inclusion of links to donation pages to contribute to ongoing development for plugins.

Your dedication to supporting this plugin deserves additional methods for the community to give you our support and appreciation.

Thanks @CyberSnek! Glad you're enjoying the plugin. Sincerely though - the best thanks is hearing from the community, and hopefully some of the good you're doing in your own local communities to support your local charities - be it a food bank, or a pet shelter.

Great project and I really want to support in any way that I can that is positive. Let us know how we can help - donation to the Red Cross is a good recommendation 👍

Much love and appreciation for the most recent fix! I too was facing the annoying Bad Request error and was preventing any control. Saw you were working on it, so stood by. This latest patch "fingers crossed" has so far fixed this for me and things are happy now. Really appreciate your hard work on this project and grateful to have a solution for myQ and Homekit without buying their $100 hub addon.

I'd like to thank this developer(s) for the recent update and making our MYQ devices work again in Homekit.

Thank you, thank you and thank you.

Is there a place we can send a donation of thanks??

What is your favorite charity? You name it, and I for one will donate. Thanks so much for the fix.

@rghinftl Appreciate the question...since you asked, take your pick from the list below, but really - pick something that’s meaningful and impactful to you, ideally within your local community.

These charities are meaningful to our household...we love animals (there are more pets than people in our home!) and in the midst of the pandemic we’ve become more acutely aware and involved with the significant burdens on food pantries throughout the US and the impact to restaurant and hospitality workers, in particular.

Food pantries, especially in this unique moment in the world:

  • Feeding America
  • World Central Kitchen

Pet advocacy:

  • Best Friends
  • PAWS Chicago

Medical:

  • St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
  • Red Cross

Pay it forward.

Agree. This is pretty cool. Thank you for keeping it working!

@hjdhjd Great work on getting this working with the new API!

also really loving the work you put into this!

Thank you for this plug-in. Just installed it and it's working beautifully. I wanted to donate and saw this thread. Admire your dedication to this as a labor of love and understand your position on donations. I live in Chicago and and have a furry family member so I donated to PAWS Chicago. Thank you!!

I came here looking to donate to this great driver, and saw you asked for a charitable donation instead.

Here's my $50 donation to Feeding America (your suggested charity), which is also matched by my employer.

Thank you for your prompt repair of this useful plug-in. In honour of your efforts I made a donation to the World Central Kitchen:

Donation Information
Donation Amount $50.00 Canadian
Amount US$39.94 USD
One-time Confirmation number56914289

Thank you for your hard work! I used this as a guide to build this functionality on an Arduino ESP32 using HomeSpan and it works like a charm.

Big fan of PAWS and all they do. 😄

It's funny - I just installed your Unifi Protect driver and noticed you're also the author of this MyQ Plugin I've been using. Just wanted to say thanks (again) for the great work.

The revamped Feature Options UI looks great and I very much appreciate the inclusion of the Opener.BatteryInfo option!

So glad I found this thread. I very much appreciate the work that you are doing on the MyQ plugin (although for the first time it is not working right now😀). We donate to WCK every year and will continue to do so -- it's a great organization.

Just wanted to say thank you for the tip about disabling all uses of the API to try to get the timeout to clear. I really appreciate your work on making this plugin!

@hjdhjd you mentioned a discord server for myq. Can you provide a link to the server?
