When using --follow_mouse windows aren't focusable

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use the "key-mon --follow_mouse" command
2. Notice the problem, you can't click on any other window, you can't focus
them.
Please provide any additional information below.
I am using Ubuntu 14.04 with Xfce 4.10 with key-mon 1.17.
