Broadlink integration no longer works with thermostat HY02/HY03 by Hysen

The problem

Past correct behaviour

When we started to use Broadlink integration in January 2024 it was able to automatically discover our Hysen thermostats as

HY02/HY03
by Hysen
Firmware: 57018

We can confirm that our Hysen thermostats worked well with Broadlink integration for HA core versions between 2024.1 - 2024.5.

Current malfunction of Broadlink integration

We did not use our thermostats during summer. However, in September we have discovered, that the Broadlink integration is not capable to connect to our Hysen thermostats anymore. Initialisation fails with error:

Failed setup, will retry: [Errno ~4000] Network timeout: No response received within 30s.

We can confirm, that the thermostats are connected to WiFi and that there thermostats can be controlled by the original mobile application Room Heat without any issues.

Are Hysen thermostats still supported?

The documentation of Broadlink integration says that it supports thermostats Hysen HY02B05H and Floureon HY03WE. When checking the release notes for HA core releases over this year, I haven't seen any note that this support was ended.

Try to re-add the device with the correct IP address

My apologies. This issue was completely caused by networking problem. Access point was not displaying connected thermostats to the main router as connected. Main router thus couldn't set IP addresses of thermostats to reserved values. Closing this issue. Nothing to fix.
