Reconsider "format on save"

Reconsidering #22. After reviewing #42 (probs for the team to reserve such a beautiful number for their final PR), we should discuss again what is the best way to implement "format on save".
I think double entries in the changelog are evil (my usual approach to restore changes is to select every method and file it in, which would cost double time with this approach).
