Audio playback speeds/pitches up on VM machines

Describe the bug
When assigning more than 2 Gb to a Linux VM, the audio playback speeds/pitches up.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Launch a flavor Linux using Virtual Box, assign more than 2 GBs of RAM to VM
- Launch ncspot
- Hit Play on a song
- Song will play slightly faster/pitched up than normal
Expected behavior
Song plays at normal speed/pitch
System (please complete the following information):
- OS: Linux Mint / Debian
- Terminal: GNOME Terminal, Konsole
- Version: 1.1.2 Latest
- Installed from: Flathub
Additional context
Assigning 3 GB (or less) to VM, audio plays back as normal. Weird.
