Most likely you have somehow disabled the Files app or similar on your device, or it's not included in HyperOS, whatever that is (never heard of it). A file browing app is required to fully use PPSSPP on devices that enforce scoped storage.

There's not more we can do, although, when this happens, we should link to that page... I'll keep this issue open to track that.

The "Files" application which is com.google.android.documentsui it must be disabled, try searching and enable it, on my cell phone for example which also has HyperOS (Redmi Note 12s), works without any issues

thanks this solved it https://www.ppsspp.org/docs/troubleshooting/cant-pick-folder/
I enabled DocumentsUI on familyLink

@uniextra Great!

Out of interest, and so I can document it for others, can you show some screenshots of how you enabled it? and how you got to the setting on your device? This way we can give more exact instructions.

I'm unable to reproduce it.
i was messing around on the bloqued apps in AndroidLink, i filterd by bloqued and i saw DocumentsUI and i enabled it, but now i'm not able to find it again in the list.

ok, well thanks for trying!
