[help/advice] merging headers

Hello,

I'm using this in the context of vite. I'd like to provide an additional cookie while using the proxy. I have thought of using 'headers': { 'cookie': '' } in my proxy options, but i'm thinking that it will conflict with the natural cookies that the browser will send to the proxy.

is there a merge strategy for this header?
