Opening in MacOSX shows only blocks (no text anywhere)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download stardict-3.0.5-beta1-macosx.tar.bz2
2. Copy program to Applications
3. Launch Program 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expect to see the UI with either English or Chinese characters

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

3.0.5 beta 1

Please provide any additional information below.

I am testing this on Mac OSX 10.9 DP4 and 10.8.3 with same results on both.
