Haxelib 3 doesn't know about awe6?

Closed this issue · 3 comments

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use Haxe 3: Haxe Library Manager 3.0.0 - (c)2006-2013 Haxe Foundation
2. Try to install awe6: C:\Users\adam>haxelib install awe6
No such Project : awe6

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to be able to install it!

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
No version of awe6, yet. Windows 7.

Please provide any additional information below.
I can't use haxelib bundled with NME (Haxe Library Manager 1.03 - (c)2006
Motion-Twin) because I'm behind a proxy and its proxy detection is broken, so
I'm using the latest Haxe (3).

I can't find the package on your website that I would need to use haxelib in a
local-install scenario (i.e. "test" in the old haxelib and "local" in the more
sensible new one!)

Thanks, Haxe3 compatible haxelib version is not yet released. We'll be working
on that shortly.

In the meanwhile either:
1) copy trunk/app/src/awe6 package to your project's src path
2) or use Haxe2 with either haxelib or method 1

For the proxy issue I noticed legacy haxelibs can also be downloaded as zips
(see download link):

Ok, thanks a lot; I've managed to install on my home machine on Ubuntu, though
I did need to create "sudo mkdir -p /usr/lib/haxe/lib && sudo haxelib setup &&
sudo haxelib install awe6" -- not sure why I needed to create a directory for
haxelib before it could run setup!

Thanks also for the link to the legacy libs; this will make it much easier to
install at work behind a proxy!
