Do you mean you shouldn't have GH links, and that all should be to CRAN vignettes and the like? If so, is there any "official" guidance or policy on that? I'm just curious whether you know something I don't here ..?

Oh no, just URL and bug reports in DESCRIPTION, they aren't there
