[New Feature] [QOL] Recursive wallpaper search
Opened this issue · 0 comments
As with any file in my “home” directory, I keep my wallpapers tightly and neatly organized. Every wallpaper is a directory with the artist's name. If further separation is needed, such as portrait and landscape wallpapers, or types of wallpapers, such as illustrations or photos, they are further separated into other subdirectories.
But currently, when selecting my general “Backgrounds” directory, no image shows up, since hyprwall
does not seem to look recursively through the directories, nor does it have a visible option to.
(Do not mind the light theme, the rest of my system is dark, but for some reason some programs do not respect it — Average Linux theming experience.)
As you may guess, this is quite annoying for how my files are arranged, as I have to select the precise folder I want every time I wish to change wallpapers. A lot of other wallpapers selectors have this same issue, unfortunately, hyprwall
is not unique in that aspect.
A button to toggle recursive looking of wallpapers, and have that option remembered upon a new launch, would be ideal if it can be implemented.
