Kazam does not show the tray icon in Debian 11 Gnome 3.38 Wayland

Hi, I am using kazam 1.4.5 on Debian 11 with GNOME Wayland 3.38. When I start a recording the icon is not shown in the notification bar so I can't stop the recording, however the Telegram or Nextcloud icon are shown. In Debian 11 KDE works fine.
Any idea how to fix it?
