Notification message doesn't render well on a border case

Hi,

I'm unable to diagnose the exact cause of this but in all my years on the site, this is the first time I've noticed this happen: The link to a post doesn't render properly, probably owing to a specific sequence of markdown metacharacters in the post title. See screenshot:

The part that is actually rendered as a link takes me to the right location, but the [[ in the post title is rendered as a single [ - that might help zero in on the issue.
